The stamped units are easier to spot - the model stamp is embossed on the underside rim, visible from the firebox with a flashlight if the crown overhang is short. Cast-concrete Famco crowns carry a foil label near the flue collar that degrades after about five California summers; if it’s gone, measure the flue opening and crown overhang - FC-10 stamped crowns measure 13 inches square with a 2-inch drip edge, while the cast FC-10-C runs 14.5 inches with a 3-inch overhang.
